Sygic GPS Navigation & Maps App Reviews

Love the app and all the features it has. My only complaint is the search function. I live in Canada and cant ever find standard pois. Like hospitals. Keep up the good work!

I used Tom Tom in the past I switched to sygic I been using it The past two years and really like it Affordable and they keep updating the new roads fast

Maps are good with lots of info but has trouble if place names arent entered precisely as listed in the app. Also has great difficulty recalculating a route if you take a wrong turn. I intend to use in conjunction with either another GPS or a paper map.

Works quite well. Would suggest a few add one like only recording limited size video (ie last ten minutes). Maps in my home town not as current as some free apps out there.

Its one of the best specially the lane assist guidance but theres 3 things I didnt like this is why I gave it only 3 stars, first the search bar is hard to use, I cant understand why I have to type my city every single time I search and you cant search directly to POI from the bar, you have to go to categories to search for POI, second thing when the app uses the car audio its not clear and sometimes its not working at all, third thing many areas in Edmonton at least are not covered by speed limit so it keep disappear all the time. Other than that its great app.

I waited for over 30 minutes to locate GPS signal and it still couldnt find it. I tried searching and it didnt recognize a popular city in Mexico where I live. As a result I am going to uninstall,its too bad I would have liked the offline mode and other interesting features.

On a 5000 km road trip it has led us astray a number of times till we just turned it off. Takes us off the interstate at every exit. We are on a very straightforward route. Reading a map is easier!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED! I bought the lifetime option and would like my money back!

Working perfectly for me but only disappointment is no verbal direction after the trial unless you pay for the premium .

Bought an earlier version years ago. Worked great in SA and Europe on iPads and iPhone. Recently installed on iPad Pro before returning to SA. Previously purchased version doesnt download correctly to new devices. Application freezes after each trip is plotted. Sygic support said re-install...did not work. Sygic support said install new version and sign in with previous ID. Could only get limited trial offer version. Sygic said theyd upgrade my previous licence if I provided original iTunes receipt (from years ago) and screen shot proof. Guess what, even if I kept old receipts Im travelling, majorly left out in the cold by this country...they are just trying to grab cash, not support existing clients. Not great to find out when you are on the road.

Three years out of date. We have had a hospital for over 3 years and it is not on the map. Thats kind of important isnt it. RH This the worst navigation system I have ever used. A complete wast of money.

Sygic is cumbersome! In frustration, I agree whole heartedly with other reviews that it has possibilities but needs a lot of refinement. It is often frustrating to use. Perhaps it will get better if they ever add voice recognition to their platform??

I bought this app because it was recommended by TripAdvisor for navigating ones way around Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It couldnt even find Nuevo Vallarta. It was completely useless and cumbersome for my purpose. I want my money back. I know its an inexpensive global GPS app that works offline. But I expected it to at least have decent search capabilities.
